Biography

Aron was born in 1986 in Budapest. His father is the writer György Konrád, and his mother is Judit Lakner.

Since kindergarten age he was writing poetry and painting.

He attended the Lauder Javne elementary school, and completed high school at the Toldy Ferenc Gimnázium.

In 2005 he studied Hungarian literature at ELTE for a year, then from 2006 he studied painting at the Óbudai Képzőművészeti Szakiskola.

Between 2008 and 2012 he participated in the group exhibitions of Cekl’art, Stereo Galeria, and the young artist collective Csakoda. He had an individual exhibition in the “Epreskert” showroom of the Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem.

He self-published four books of poetry: Twilight pirate 1997, So many things I have already been 1998, My superstitions 2000, Nowadays 2006, the last with a forward by István László Géher.

Already during his high school years, his poems appeared in the weekly literary journal Élet és Irodalom as well as in Múlt and Jövő, Jelenkor, and Mozgó Világ.

In 2008 he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and from this point he received medication, and with the support of his parents he lived withdrawn at home. Due to his condition, he stopped writing poetry, but he continued painting to the end of his life.

He contracted cancer and passed away at the young age of 36 years.
